Can I really learn to dance?
Yes. Dancing is as easy as walking once you are taught how by a certified Dance Professional. To start we teach simple, basic elements and patterns from the most popular dances. Arthur Murray® Dance Studios have been teaching the world to dance successfully for over 98 years. YOU CAN DO IT TOO!!
Do I need a partner?
No way!! We teach both singles and couples alike. Whether you have a partner or not, you will learn in all aspects of our three way method of teaching. In fact, as a single, you tend to learn faster because of the one-on-one instruction with our Dance Professionals.
How much do lessons cost?
Tuition varies, depending on a number of factors e.g., how competent a dancer you wish to be, what dances you would like to learn, and your dance schedule. Remember - YOUR FIRST LESSON IS FREE. Following that lesson you would begin your Introductory Program. With a saving of 25% it will be $360.00 + GST. After that your instructor will recommend a program that is personalized to you with the dances you wish to perfect and at a pace that is comfortable for you.
Does the fee have to be paid in advance?
Tuition is paid in advance for Introductory Programs. Once you are on your next program YOU can let us know what payments work for YOU!! We can work with any budget.
What methods of payment are accepted?
We accept VISA, MasterCard, Debit & cash, as well as personal cheque.
Are classes convenient for my busy schedule?
Our studio is open Tuesday through Friday from 12:00pm - 10:00pm and Saturday's from 11:00pm - 5:00pm. We will create a schedule that's convenient for you, perhaps learning to Swing at lunchtime or Tango after dinner.
How long is the program?
The length of the program will depend on your goals in regard to number of dances, skill level, and frequency of lessons. Remember that learning to dance is fun and easy but it is also a skill that will take time to feel completely comfortable and confident with it. After only a few short lessons, you will begin to DANCE!!
Can a person with "two left feet" learn to dance?
We pride ourselves on the ease and effectiveness of our instruction. We teach six basic (and simple) movements, which can be implemented in learning new combinations. Arthur Murray® Dance Studios have successfully trained millions of people worldwide, many of whom had two of those "left feet” when they first started. Each of our lessons is guaranteed to be to your satisfaction.
Will there be people my age learning to dance?
Dancing is the first line of social activity. We instruct everyone from young adults to more mature individuals. Acquiring good dancing skills will only serve to improve poise, instil confidence, and expand your social circle. No partner is required.
What steps can I learn?
We provide instruction on all social dances: Salsa, Hustle, Swing, Fox Trot, Rumba, Mambo, Cha-cha Waltz, Samba, Merengue, Tango, and many others. Learn hot Latin dancing! From the fiery Salsa of "Dirty Dancing" to discovering the Merengue (a cruise favourite). Top it off with the romantic Bolero and you have all the elements of a night in Puerto Vallarta. Whether it's the elegance of a grand ball, an evening of dining and dancing, or pursuing your dream of being a competitive dancer, the grace and poise learned with this style is for you. Prepare for weddings, cruises, New Year's, or just a night on the town. We teach all the latest steps. It's fun, exciting, and great exercise!
